But on the printing side of things, there’s this Brother label printer coming out you should probably take notice of. It’s small, lightweight and can be taken with you on the go. It’s the Brother QL-570 Label Printer and it’ll sell for only $99.
Just pop in a roll of peel and stick labels and print out your own custom designed labels with text and graphics. It’s pretty neat really. It relies on thermal printing, so no printer ink cartridges required.
Expect this printer to hit the market in early January.
Wireless printing is the latest, greatest thing, so why not jump on the bandwagon? The Brother HL-2100 Series lets you print wirelessly at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for?
These laser prints only print in monochrome but they’re small and have a nice stylish sensibility–for a printer, that is.

One question. Why is it that I can never find in these reviews information about how much the printer ink cartridges cost?

This thing prints fast, is completely portable and prints high quality photos like you wouldn’t believe.
The new Epson model costs $200 and has a built-in CD burner. The average cost of each print is 25 cents–not too bad. You’ll get a pretty good life out of your printer ink cartridges and you can even purchase a rechargeable battery to make trips easier to manage.
So the Canon Pixma iP4500 Photo Printer came out and PC Magazine doesn’t see what all the fuss is about. Apparently, the printer is just like its predecessor the Canon Pixma iP4300 Photo Printer, it costs 30% more and there are not significant changes or improvements.
What a rip off! I wonder if the printer ink cartridges went up as well? If they did, then that would just complete this picture, wouldn’t it?
