As a new school year begins are you looking for a way to get the kids excited about heading back? Why not create a custom calendar of important activities this school year? If you have an HP printer you have a lot of available options for customizing your calendar. For example, a few of your child’s favorite photos from every season may be an excellent way to give their calendar a personal touch. Creating a list of school events they are looking forward to can help build your child’s anticipation for the upcoming school year.
There are a couple of different styles you can use for creating your calendar. You may want to make a 12-month calendar with different pictures for each month, or you may decide that a large annual calendar, with all the months on one page may be a better way to go. If you have an HP printer with a photo-quality ink cartridge and sticker stock, then you can print custom stickers as well to use on the calendar.
This is an excellent project that gives you an opportunity to spend some time with the kids before they head back to school. You can find out what they are looking forward to in the upcoming school year and this is a lot less expensive than a day at the mall. Your HP printer and some extra printer cartridges can provide you with great opportunities to bond with your child if you take the time to become familiar with the many features it has to offer.

HP is known for making affordable printers that handle the needs of your average home user. The HP Deskjet D2660 is no exception. Of course you have to recognize that for the price tag, a mere $50, you will not have all the features of a more expensive printer and the photo quality is not quite what you get from the pricier models. As a printer for a spare computer, one of the kid’s computers, or a printer to attach to the laptop when you are using it around the house the D2660 is an excellent choice. It is an inkjet printer so replacing or refilling the printer cartridges is a cinch.
The quality of text that the D2660 prints is nice. It is clear and fast. So if you need to print out boarding passes on the fly or a syllabus for school this is the printer to go for. On the other hand, if you are looking for something to use fairly regularly for printing out photos then you probably want to take a look at some other printers.
HP offers excellent user support and technical support for all of their printers and most printers come bundled with some very nice software for editing documents and photos as well as other fun printing projects. One of the drawbacks of this particular model is that the warranty does not last as long as the warranty on many other HP printers. Overall this is a nice inexpensive printer that is great for moderate use.
