HP: Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire?
Apparently Kyocera is downright mad at HP. Why, you may ask? It seems as though HP has recently been less than honest in one of their ads.
In an ad for the Color LaserJet CP3505, HP claims that their product is far superior than the competition because the print drums never need to be replaced. However, this claim got Kyocera’s undies in a bunch because the print drums are a part of the printer toner cartridges in HP printers. This means that the print drum replacement cost is included in the cost of the printer ink cartridges. I have to say this is quite misleading.
Though, it’s probably not much different than what other companies do. Advertising is all about the spin and the angle of the story. However, Kyocera is even using this to their advantage, stating that their toner cartridges last much longer and produce much less waste than HP does.

Oh well. Everyone makes a lot of waste and everyone wants to outsell each other. You just have to decide for yourself what sort of printer you want to use and what printer ink cartridges are best for you and your printing needs.
