How Do Laser Printers Work?
There is more to how laser printers work than just pushing the power button and hitting the print button. Inside the printer is a mechanism that needs to operate like clockwork in order to produce quality printouts. The main principle behind how a laser printer work is the fact that opposites attract.
Laser printers work using the principle of electric charges. Electricity is used to charge a drum inside the printer. The charge is delivered by either a charge corona wire or another roller. After the drum is charged, the printer shoots a laser to form the characters that will be printed. Ink toner is then coated over the drum so that when the oppositely charged paper gets into contact with the drum, the characters are printed upon it using the toner. To finish the process, the toner is then fused onto the fibers of the paper with the use of heat.
