Simple Ways of Cleaning Your Ink Cartridges
Having clogged ink cartridges can be a problem, especially if you’re in a great rush to complete your work. There’s nothing as frustrating as beating the deadline at the exact final minute, only to find that your printer suddenly conks out on you at the worst possible time. While there are many ways to clean your ink cartridges, let’s take a look at some of them in detail.
One way of cleaning your ink cartridges is through the use of a small sponge. You can dampen this in an isopropyl alcohol solution, which contains about 1/3 alcohol and 2/3 water, to clean the print heads. The ink on your print heads or cartridge may have dried up and accumulated, and you may need to leave the sponge on for quite a while.
Another way of cleaning this is to use a cotton swab instead of a sponge, as it allows for far greater accuracy and precision during the process.
You can also use a warm, damp and clean cotton cloth to clean your print head or cartridge. Continuously wipe it until it leaves a black mark on the cloth. This means that the dried ink has unclogged and is finally ready for use.
Whatever you choose to wipe on your print head or cartridge, make sure that it is clean. Cleaning with a dirty sponge, swab or cloth can cause significant damage to your printer.
With these cleaning methods in mind, your ink cartridges can work almost as good as new. Most printing errors come from dirty cartridges, so go ahead and clean them out to ensure better printer quality and performance.
