More iPhone Apps for a Stress-Free Holiday Season!
We continue with our feature on iPhone apps that will help you get through the holidays without blowing your top.
Those who will need to do a bit of traveling before the merriment can begin may find FlightTrack helpful. For almost $10, users get real-time statuses for flights around the world, live weather radar updates, route maps, as well as other info. Perhaps its most important feature is the push alert that will provide users with info on delays and cancellations.
What if you have to be stuck in the middle of nowhere for holidays’ sake? Sure, seeing everyone again after a year of being apart is lovely, but after a couple of days, people are eventually going to run out of things to update each other with. If you would like to expand your horizons a bit while squeezed into a pull-away bed with your cousin, then you may want to try HearPlanet. The almost-$5 app will allow you to hop from one “location of interest” in the world to another, as you listen to the virtual audio guide that will read out the descriptions of these places from Wikipedia.
Or you can choose to travel the world using Google Earth – like I did, a couple of hours ago. Whether you simply want to take a break and stroll around Paris or would like to find out if that cheap motel is actually near that outlet mall that you fully intend to raid before heading home, this free app can certainly be of enormous help.
And then, of course, there’s the app that we have mentioned a couple of times in the past: BF Deals. For a little less than a dollar, you can have your own guide to the best freakin’ Black Friday deals ever! The app will allow you to get first pick on the latest offerings as well as guide you to the less crowded spots where you can reign supreme.
