4 Most Useful Google Android Apps – for Free!

Who says that nothing top-notch is ever for free? Here are some Google Android Apps that are definite must-haves – but won’t cost you a dime.

android-appAdvanced Task Killer Free 1.5.1. The objective of this app is to make the task of closing an Android app easier. This is a remedy for the sluggishness that afflicts Android phones due to the number of applications that are running in the background after a few hours of use. The task-killer app allows users to free up memory and processor power.

AP Mobile 2.0.0. The Associated Press is known for its ability to make great apps for mobile news. This one will allow users to receive news that are updated constantly, on every category imaginable – including news that is specific to your city or state. The home page may be customized with your favorite categories and view AP news videos.

Astrid 2.10.0. This particular app is described as “the best to-do list app” for Android phones. On the surface it will seem like a simple task list, but that simplicity belies the power hidden underneath. Among the things that can be done on the app is the tagging of tasks, setting of priorities, assignment of dates as well as several levels of reminders. It also comes with a timer that functions like a stopwatch, allowing you to keep track of exactly how long you spend on each task.

Astro File Manager 2.1.0. This app will allow you to manage apps in your Android phone. Your memory, after all, is not a bottomless pit, and there will undoubtedly come a time when you will just about run out of space. The Astro File Manager will enable you to back up apps into an SD card. The catch though is that you will not be able to run your apps directly from the SD card; however, you will at least be provided with a place to temporarily “park” them in when you do not need them yet.
