Cool Gadgets To Watch Out In 2013

If there’s one thing to be excited about with the approaching New Year, it has to be the debut of the coolest gadgets for 2013. Really, who wouldn’t want to know the “what’s new and what’s in” devices and technology for next year?

So, as we await for the 2013 International CES Show in Las Vegas, let’s take a look at some of the trends to look forward to in the incoming year.

3D printer3D Printers
This year, an impressive line up of 3D printers have been unveiled to media, but more are yet to come. Forbes reports that at least seven companies are expected to show 3D printers at CES 2013, demonstrating the potential benefits of the technology for a wide swath of industries and users. Recently, it has been reported that a new research is underway for the creation of cancer drugs via 3D printing. As we head for 2013, it seems we can expect more advancement in 3D printing technology.

Convertible PCs
Think about devices with a keyboard that can perform PC tasks but also transform into a tablet with touchscreen capabilities. Windows 8 is being pushed to make this new form of technology happen, but sales have been relatively modest so far. Still, the CES 2013 might just be what it takes for people to give more attention to these devices.

Ultra HDTV
Forbes noted that Ultra High-Definition TV will be the next revolutionary upgrade in high-definition television, delivering more life-like pictures than HDTV. The price tag may not be pocket-friendly — approximately $20,000 — for mass consumption, but market momentum will likely wait until consumers become more familiar with the technology, manufacturers reduce prices, and content providers embrace the format. Perhaps, for now manufacturers will show more of 3D TVs and Internet connected TVs, but considering how quickly people adopt with new technologies nowadays it may not be too far to see Ultra HDTV invading some homes in the U.S.
