Gizmodo’s Leaked iPhone 4G versus Actual Apple iPhone 4
Yes, the cat is now legally out of the bag. But in April, the cat had allowed someone to not just take a peek at its tail – but its whole darn body. Truth be told, this cat seems to have been let out long ago.
So, how on point was Gizmodo in its dissection of the Apple iPhone prototype that was left in bar and caused quite a bit of trouble? Pretty darn close is what it seems like.
Gizmodo was right about the front-facing camera. Steve Jobs explained how this new feature will allow an iPhone first — video-conferencing. In addition, Gizmodo noticed that the regular back camera has improved. The iPhone 4 stats indicate that it is equipped with a 5MP back camera with built-in LED flash and the ability to record high-definition video.
Jobs described the resolution on the iPhone 4 as so much better than any other smartphone screen. Gizmodo did weigh in on the display and said that the screen was displaying at a much higher resolution than the iPhone 3G S.
Another observation that was on point: the fact that the iPhone 4 is using a micro-sim like the iPad, as opposed to the standard sim. And the iPhone 4 is, as observed by Gizmodo, coated by glass, but not just at the back but in front as well.
Practically the only description that Gizmodo was not able to get was the weight; the iPhone 4 is said to be lighter, but Gizmodo said that it is 3 grams heavier.
Now, we understand why Gizmodo was banned from the Apple shindig that announced the iPhone 4. They didn’t really need to be there.
