Hot Mobile Phones of 2009
2009 is fast becoming a memory, so before we bid adieu to the year that was a rather fruitful one for the mobile phone industry, we take a look back and see which phones were hot in 2009.
First up is a phone that was also a latest acquisition for one of us – the LG enV Touch. This mobile phone comes with a rather winning combo: fantastic design as well as excellent features. It won a CNET Editor’s choice award, and from the consumer standpoint, is working pretty darn well for us.
The Samsung Impression also made quite an ‘impression’ in 2009. It may be far from perfect, but as far as messaging and multimedia is concerned, the Samsung Impression garners top marks. Another Samsung product on the hot phones list is the Rogue, which is equipped with a multimedia touch-screen and holds a CNET Editor’s Choice Award.
And if it’s a phone and camera in one that you want, the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905a will be just the ticket, combining a phone with great features and a camera that can take high-quality photos, thanks to Sony Cyber-shot technology. Also in this category is the Samsung Memoir, a great camera phone that may well worth be the few extra dollars you will have to spend to get it.
The LG VX8360 may not seem to be anything special when compared to the other phones that are out in the market, it nevertheless remains to be a great multimedia phone for the no-nonsense, no-fuss user. And best of all, this one can be had for free with a Verizon Wireless plan.
The Samsung Alias 2 is the phone for the avid texter, described as an improved version of a previous model that falls under the messaging phone category. If money is no object and sleekness is a priority, then the Casio Exilim C721 is a great choice; it comes equipped with an excellent camera as well as a generous helping of high-end features.
