The History of Konica Minolta (Global Imaging)

While Konica Minolta is known for providing cameras and other photograph essentials, the company was able to establish its name in the world of global imaging. Some of its products include laser printers, medical imaging and graphical imaging. The company also has its own business solutions services after it created a joint venture with CEC in 2008.

The company created many firsts in the industry. It launched a 35mm autofocus camera and a 35mm camera with built-in flash during the 1980’s. Just recently in 2005, it also launched the first phase contrast technology for mammography.

The company also created many subsidiaries around the world. During its first 100 years in the business which commenced in 1973, it was able to put up American and European Subsidiaries. It also acquired the company American Litho Inc. in 2005. It also has formed other businesses under its name such as the Konica Minolta IJ Technologies Inc, Konica Minolta Supplies Manufacturing Company, Ltd.

All these facts behind Konica Minolta Global Imaging’s History show how successful the company is. Despite withdrawing its photo and camera businesses in 2007, the company continues to exist and promises to develop more products for its patrons.
