Epson Replaces The Artisan 800 With The Epson 810 All-In One Inkjet Printer
A year after Epson revealed its Artisan 800 its successor the Epson 810 All-in-One Inkjet Printer hits the market. For those that resisted buying the original model in lieu of waiting for the second generation, you won’t be disappointed. The specifications of the Epson 810 didn’t change much from the previous model. But now you can print from your iPhone/iPod Touch, charge USB devices thanks to the new port on front, take advantage of more built in printing projects, and fax documents from your computer (that’s a Windows only feature). One of the only drawbacks I found was the lack of automatic duplexing, though you can add this functionality by purchasing a duplexer.
Along with iPhone printing and USB charging the Epson 810 has some other notable features as well. It boasts a 7.8 inch touch panel and 3.5 inch LCD screen for ease of viewing. It also has embedded photo correction, and printing projects, borderless photo printing, CD/DVD printing, Ethernet and WiFi. And to top all of the off you get a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
The Epson 810 is also environmentally sound. It is energy star rated, and has individual ink cartridges, which means you can replace only the color you need saving you money. And the estimated power consumption for one year is less than two dollars. You can also save paper by adding the optional automatic duplexer. The Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One Inkjet Printer is great for home users that care about style and creativity and need fax functionality, and at only $299.99 (MSRP) it could turn out to be a great buy.
