Epson Slashes Printer Prices!

Kodak and HP have been battling it out both in terms of words and of prices by offering trade-in credits and discounts. Another printer manufacturer is reportedly going down the same route in an attempt to generate more sales.

Epson AcuLaser M2000DTNEpson is going to cut the prices of certain printer models by half starting January, and will be offering those discounts all the way through to end of March next year. The printer models involved are AcuLaser and EPL 6200 printers that are being sold through the channel.

In order to avail of the discount, customers should purchase the printers from a reseller. According to Epson, the savings will then be passed on direct to the channel through the distributor. Epson Business Manager Mark Karsey was quoted as saying that Epson laser printers were of “good quality” and are “easy to use”.

The following specific models can be had at half of the original price: AcuLaser M2000, C1100, CX21N, and EPL-6200/6200N series printers. The AccuLaser C2800 is being offered for 40% less than the original price.
